At our service centre in the UK these pictures show a fan returned for service.
The fan although looking quite standard is manufactured from mild steel with rubber lining, all gas handling parts are Hastelloy.
Virtually all parts were replaced, although after NDT the impeller was saved, the repair included new Hastelloy shaft, seal and full bearing unit with Inpro seals.
The fan was fully run tested including overspeed duration tests before returning to the customer.
