It is interesting to note the presence of another belt driven fan for an RTO application in China. This is an uncommon occurrence, as the Chinese and Asian markets generally have very few belt driven fans compared to the USA market where there are nearly three times more sales of this type of fan.
In Europe and Asia, the use of fans with VSD and direct drive is much more popular and widely accepted. This is considered to be a more efficient way to save energy and reduce maintenance-related issues.
The fan in question has a 1.5m impeller driven by a 110kW motor.
