Diesel Engine Driven Fan: A Unique Solution for A Spanish Paper Mill

Typically our fans are driven by electric motors, occasionally pneumatics, sometimes hydraulics and in this case we have a diesel engine driven fan.

The diesel driver is a 6.6kW 3000rpm (adjustable speed) motor and drives the fan through a Plummer block bearing and flexible coupling, the fan is a high pressure 24” impeller.

The application is for a back up operation on a paper mill site in Spain, this similar design we have supplied to environments that require gas movement  but do not have reliable or any means of fixed power, frequently these fan are designed to be portable.

Designing and manufacturing fans that are sometimes a little weird but still wonderful makes life exciting.
