Engineering For Efficiency

Shenzhen and Nantong, China. I was at our China facilities in Shenzhen and Nantong last week, found these two 112” beauties on the shop floor, complete with hard surface wear plates to reduce erosion due to the high particulate in the gas stream.

There are 6 of these fans in total for this plant, they are replacing older less efficient impellers. The Chinese government is driving an efficiency push in high energy industries, like cement, by enforcing reductions in energy intensity (kWh per tonne produced) to lower emissions and enhance sustainability. This includes upgrading technology, optimising processes, and encouraging the adoption of energy-efficient equipment such as our fans.
