The customer explained that the previous non Halifax Fan fan used to be run at 100% speed. Halifax Fan new replacement fan can be run at 60% speed and achieve better duty.

As part of a select group of 30 companies, Halifax Fan is taking part in the Fit For Hydrogen programme managed by the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre based at the University of Sheffield. This programme is part of the Zero Carbon Humber Partnership, whichaims to decarbonise the industrial clutter around the Humber and help UK manufacturers win work in emerging low-carbon sectors including hydrogen fuels and carbon capture.
Both fans endured an extended 4-hour mechanical run test and a customer witnessed aerodynamic performance test according to strict project requirements. They passed with flying colours!
The fans have sparkproof features and are complete with a mechanical seal and thermosiphon supply system.

These replacement fans are higher efficiency. They allow the customer to still use the existing 600kW motors they have. They now also have the ability to increase the air volume from the original design.
Manufactured in stainless 316L. Driven at speeds upto 3600RPM by aN ATEX motor. The ATEX rating is 3G internal and 2G external.
